Ochre Strokes is a 100% First Nations-owned and operated full-service creative agency, proudly led by Mununjali and Noonuccal Managing Director Stevi Knagge. With 19 years of experience in mainstream media and expertise in building brand profiles, creating compelling content, and developing strategic marketing and communications, Stevi established Ochre Strokes to share this knowledge and collaborate closely with First Nations organisations, businesses, initiatives, and campaigns.

At Ochre Strokes, culture and creativity come together to amplify the voices, stories, and identities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We provide pathways to showcase, share, and connect First Nations culture and campaigns from an authentic, First Nations perspective.

We co-design with emerging and established artists to bring vision and story to life, ensuring every project reflects community values and cultural integrity.

Our work is guided by three core pillars:
Collaborate – Walking alongside clients, communities, and partners to co-design culturally respectful and effective solutions.
Create – Bringing bold ideas to life through strategy, design, storytelling, events, and media production that reflect authenticity and excellence.
Connect – Building bridges between cultures, communities, and audiences to spark understanding, engagement, and lasting impact.

As a full-service creative agency, we offer end-to-end expertise across:

  • Strategic communications & marketing

  • Media production & storytelling

  • Graphic design & visual identity

  • Community engagement & consultation

  • Event design, management & activation

  • Campaign rollout & media amplification

At Ochre Strokes, we don’t just create campaigns — we collaborate to create and connect in ways that honour culture, inspire audiences, and drive meaningful change.
