At Ochre Strokes, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Canberra region, the Ngunnawal people. We honour their enduring connection to land, waters, and culture, and extend our respect to Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and traditions and stand in solidarity with First Nations peoples in asserting that sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.

Who Are We?
Ochre Strokes was founded by Mununjali and Noonuccal creative Stevi Knagge, whose extensive career in mainstream media revealed a deep gap in authentic First Nations representation across marketing and events. Out of this realisation, Ochre Strokes was created - a proudly First Nations-owned creative agency driven to elevate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and culture through powerful storytelling.

From our base in Meanjin and in collaboration with clients across the country - including on Ngunnawal Country (Canberra) - we partner with First Nations organisations, government bodies, artists, and businesses to design culturally grounded marketing strategies and events that reflect community values and identity.
